Imagine stepping onto the porch of the country house nestled in the heart of Colombia’s Andes. The air is fresh and carries the scent of wet earth and wildflowers. Before you, stretches an expanse of lush, verdant forest, a tapestry of emerald and jade that seems to breathe with life.
Tall trees, their trunks cloaked in moss, rise up like the pillars of a natural cathedral, their canopies interlacing to form a green ceiling above. The soft, continuous symphony of birdsong, the rustle of leaves and the distant murmur of a stream, create a serene soundscape.
Mists roll gently through the forest, shrouding the landscape in a veil of mystery. Here, the forest floor is dotted with orchids and ferns. Every so often, your catches the flutter of yellow butterflies, or the bright flash of one of the 15 species of hummingbirds that inhabit the ecosystem.
The mountains are majestic, their peaks reaching for the sky, sometimes hidden by the passing clouds, sometimes revealed as the sun breaks through, casting golden beams that dance across the foliage.
This view from the house is not just a sight to behold; it’s an experience, a connection to the raw beauty of nature in the Colombian Andes.
HOW TO GET THERE ?
1. By Road:
The Resort is located 33.5 miles to the west of El Dorado International Airport on National Route 50.

2. By Plane
An extension of El Dorado International Airport, known as Dorado II, will be built between the municipalities of Madrid and Facatativá. It will have 1980 hectares, a runway, with its taxiways, apron, passenger terminal and aircraft loading and maintenance facilities, along with land accesses and parking lots and other equipment.
3. By Train
Another important aspect of the project is that it would work hand in hand with the Regiotram, a commuter train that starts in the center of Bogotá and ends in Facatativá using the existing rail corridor, which within the Dorado 2 project would take passengers directly to the airport connecting them with Bogotá and with the different municipalities of the savannah that crosses them.

GEOGRAPHY
The resort will be located in the foothills of the Cordillera Central at 7,200 feet above sea level.
The Cordillera Central is one of the main mountain ranges of Colombia, forming part of the Andes system. It extends from the Nudo de Almaguer or Macizo Colombiano, in the department of Cauca, to the Serranía de San Lucas, in the department of Bolívar. This mountain range is bounded by the valleys of the Cauca and Magdalena rivers to the west and east, respectively.
CLIMATE
The climate is an eternal spring with very short, cool and sunny dry periods; and periods of heavy rainfall. It remains cloudy for various periods of the year. The temperature generally ranges from 51.8°F to 73.4°F and rarely drops below 44.6°F or rises above 78.8°F.
The clearest part of the year begins around June 6; It lasts 3.5 months and ends on approximately September 21.
THE OUTDOOR AREA
Large outdoor area of 1.48 acres, in the middle of the cloud forest of the Colombian Andes
The outdoor area is in the middle of an area of special environmental interest due to its water richness and biodiversity. It is part of the area declared by the Regional Autonomous Corporation of Cundinamarca as an Integrated Management District Sector Salto del Tequendama – Cerro Manjuí and is a water system of great importance, since it is the source of innumerable streams that irrigate the Gualivá region and supply aqueducts of Albán and neighboring municipalities.
In the outdoor area there are the following entertainment venues:

Forest area with native tree species

Kiosk next to the El Piñal stream, a place designed for meditation, contemplation, bird watching, amidst the sound of the wind in the foliage and the water in the stones of the cliff.

COUNTRY HOUSE
A rustic architectural design in harmony with the place
A sense of harmony of the interior with the exterior, making an enchanting connection with nature. The rustic brick walls, natural stone floors, polished concrete countertops and vaulted ceilings with exposed wooden beams, generate an ironic fusion with the natural environment.
The house also has three terraces:

One enclosed in glass that allows visibility but protects from the cold at night.

A large and open one, with a canopy, in polycabonate that allows the passage of sunlight; a social place open to the landscape, ideal for socializing, enjoying family meals, resting in the hammocks or enjoying a whirlpool in the Jacuzzi.

And a third open terrace on the second level, with synthetic grass floors, ideal for contemplating the charms of the outdoors, the Andean landscape, and on clear days, the Parque de los Nevados.
